A blog blogue1 2 or 3 (contraction of the English term web log, "Daily Network") is a website whose structure allows quick update from additions of articles called, or blog posts. These are usually arranged in reverse chronological order, focusing on the proposed theme of the blog and can be written by a variable number of people, according to the policy of the blog.
Many blogs provide commentary or news on a particular subject, others function more as online diaries. A typical blog combines text, images and links to other blogs, web pages and media related to its topic. The ability to leave comments readers in order to interact with the author and other readers is an important part of many blogs.
Some systems create and edit blogs are very attractive by offering facilities, offering its own tools to dispense the knowledge of HTML. Most blogs are primarily textual, although some is focused on unique themes such as art, photography, video, music or audio, forming an extensive network of social media. Another format is the microblogging, which consists of blogs with short texts.
In December 2007, blog search engine Technorati tracked the existence of more than 112 million blogs.4 With the advent of video blogging, the word blog has taken on a broader meaning, implying any type of media where an individual expresses his discorra opinion or just about any one subject.
